Animals across Scotland are suffering right now, and you have the power to change that.

Please donate today. By supporting OneKind, you can make sure animals are heard and help deliver real, lasting change that animals urgently need.

With the Scottish elections approaching, OneKind has published our 2026 manifesto, setting out key animal welfare asks that would dramatically improve the lives of animals in Scotland. Our message is clear, and one we know you share: animals matter. Every animal is an individual, with their own personality, and the ability to feel joy, fear and pain. Your support helps shape a Scotland where animals are protected and valued.

One of our key asks calls for a review of the use of all traps

You helped secure a ban on snares, which has already prevented huge suffering. Now, you can help push the Scottish Government to build on that progress and better protect wild animals from outdated and inhumane trapping practices that cause pain and suffering.

You have the power to be a strong voice for change for farmed, wild, and companion animals. By supporting OneKind, you can help create a Scotland where every animal is freed from cruelty. Your support ensures that political work and public campaigns work together to deliver meaningful, urgently needed change.

What your gift today will achieve

Two gannets with their baby on a cliff.
Ending the guga hunt

You can help end the inhumane guga hunt on Sula Sgeir, where baby gannets are taken from their nests and killed. Chicks are snatched from their nests and clubbed to death. This grisly act not only results in the death of the baby gannets but also causes fear and distress to both chicks and adult birds. While this hunt began centuries ago as a source of food, it continues today in the name of tradition. Tradition does not justify suffering. By supporting OneKind, you help raise public awareness, fund research, and apply political pressure to protect seabirds and end this outdated and harmful practice.

Stand Up for Pigs

Your support strengthens our efforts to improve the lives of pigs across Scotland. This year, we will be tireless in our work to significantly improve the lives of pigs in Scotland. We had a strong presence in Parliament for pigs last year and with your help can make this year even stronger.

The Scottish Government committed to consult on phasing out farrowing crates for mother pigs in its 2021–2022 Programme for Government, but it has failed to deliver on that promise.

A mother pig suffers tremendously in these cages, which are barely bigger than her own body. She is denied the right to care for or interact with her piglets, unable even to move or turn around in the confining metal crate.

We’ve campaigned relentlessly for years to end the use of cruel cages for mother pigs. You can help keep pressure on the Scottish Government to ban these crates and end the use of high‑concentration CO₂ stunning. While the UK Government has pledged to phase out farrowing crates and CO₂ stunning, your support ensures pigs in Scotland are not left behind and helps hold the Scottish Government accountable.

Will you be there for animals in 2026?

Animals don’t have a vote. They rely on your kindness and compassion to represent them. Every campaign and every step towards change is only possible because of your support. At this critical moment for animals, we are asking you to ensure their voices cannot be ignored.

A gift of £30 would make an immediate impact, but whatever you can give will help to keep animal welfare on the agenda and brings justice to animals across Scotland.

Thank you for believing that animals matter, and for helping make real change possible.
