Earthlings Earthlings is a 2005 American documentary film about humankind's total dependence on animals for economic purposes. Presented in five chapters (pets, food, clothing, entertainment, and scientific research) the film is narrated by Joaquin Phoenix, featuring music by Moby, and was written, produced, and directed by Shaun Monson. Hogwood: A modern horror story Exposing the jarring conditions inside one of Britain's largest pig farms, animal rights organisation Viva! calls on the power players in animal agriculture for change. This investigative documentary short won the Wild Animal award at the British Documentary Film Festival. Available on Netflix. Knowing Animals Knowing Animals is a regular 20-minute podcast about all things related to animals and ethics; animals and the law; animals and politics; and animal advocacy. It features interviews with academic and animal advocates. Ordinary Vegan Ordinary Vegan is a beacon for health and wellness and a trusted voice in the plant-based industry since 2011. Nancy Montuori believes that plant-based nutrition is the cornerstone of health and longevity. Nancy shares well researched scientific evidence of the connection of food to disease. The Ordinary Vegan Podcast Join Nancy Montuori on the Ordinary Vegan podcast as she addresses all aspects of eating and living healthfully. Talking Animal Law The UK Centre for Animal Law (A-LAW) is a charity that brings together lawyers and other people interested in animal protection law to share experience and to harness that expertise for the benefit of animals. Join A-LAW Chairperson, Paula Sparks, each month in a new episode on Talking Animal Law podcast. She talks to scientists, lawyers and campaigners about the latest animal law news, ethics and policy. The Disclosure Podcast - Earthling Ed Join vegan educator, TEDx speaker and content creator Ed Winters as he explores topics surrounding veganism, morality, ethics, communication, and the environment, as well as discussing current events. Shawn Bannon’s infuriating documentary about the harm committed by factory farming against humans, animals, and the environment. The Vegan Pod - The Vegan Society The Vegan Pod (a podcast by The Vegan Society) have different guests each month who discuss a topical issue in the vegan realm. With athletes, vets, nutritionists and more asking questions from “Is a plant-based diet really enough to fuel an athlete?” to “Do companion animals make vegans hypocrites?”. Think Like a Vegan A podcast bringing you thought provoking deep dives across a wide variety of subjects from Emilia Leese, one of the authors of Think Like a Vegan: What everyone can learn from vegan ethics. Each episode is a mini talk about one topic which might not be the focus of an everyday conversation, including activism, ableism, reproductive rights, animals and the law, alternatives to animal experimentation in medicine and more. These short talks and guests will inspire and educate, expanding the conversation around veganism. And all is premised on veganism being part of basic fairness. Veganuary podcast Switching to a vegan lifestyle, or just trying plant-based eating? The Veganuary Podcast is for you! You Are What You Eat: A twin experiment Based on an 8-week study conducted by Stanford University that put 22 sets of genetically identical twins on opposing (but healthy) diets: omnivore and vegan. The study found that, after only eight weeks, the twins eating the vegan diet experienced: increased life expectancy, reduced visceral fat, reduced risk of heart disease, and even a heightened sexual drive.
