Snare sightings and snaring incidents in the UK (2021)

Snares cause considerable physical and mental suffering to the animals trapped in them, and yet these archaic devices are still perfectly legal in parts of the UK.

Since 2011 we have been appealing for reports about snares found by members of the public through our SnareWatch (now TrapWatch) website. TrapWatch is a reporting tool, where anyone in the UK can report snare and trap sightings and incidents and get advice on how to report any illegal incidents.
