About us Our key successes An end to greyhound racing (2026) In March 2026, the Scottish Government banned greyhound racing—a landmark victory for animal welfare and a powerful testament to what determined campaigning can achieve. This historic change came just three years after OneKind launched the Unbound the Greyhound coalition campaign. From 2023, OneKind led the Unbound the Greyhound coalition, bringing together eight other animal protection organisations with one common goal: to end greyhoung racing in Scotland. Through sustained, strategic and collaborative campaigning, we built unstoppable momentum—raising awareness, influencing decision-makers, and keeping pressure on the Scottish Parliament until change became inevitable. The result: the passing of the Greyhound Racing (Offences) (Scotland) Bill, making Scotland one of the latest countries to bring an end to greyhound racing.
