After decades of campaigning by OneKind and others, the Scottish Government banned snares!

The Wildlife Management and Muirburn (Scotland) Act 2024 introduced a full ban on the use of snares in Scotland. The ban came into force on 25th November 2024, a milestone for wild animal welfare.

We campaigned for decades for a ban on the sale and use of snares in Scotland.

In May 2024, the Bill to ban live exports from and through Britain passed its final stage in the UK Parliament.
